HOUSTON - April 22, 2014 - PRLog -- “Parents know to be aware of everything from bullies to drug dealers yet may remain ignorant of a more powerful and subtle danger. We may pay for the cost of education in one of two ways, either the cost of the school and other fees or by our ignorance that we are paying some teachers who challenge the very faith of our children.” Those are the words of Charles Lyons, Ph.D. who co-hosts a most unusual weekly radio program called “Ask The Pastor.” Dr. Lyons was excited to announce that they will have Rich Christiano, movie writer, director and producer on their program Thursday night April 24th to discuss the soon to be released new movie, “A Matter of Faith.”

James Simmons is the other member of the co-hosting team of “Ask The Pastor,” and he shares in that excitement. At a recent meeting he stated, “A movie like, A Matter of Faith, is vital to communicate to families and young people in particular the danger of compromising values and the necessity to stand for what you believe in.”

Rich Christiano is a man of special talent, skill and passion in the world of movies. He is unique not only for his abilities but for his commitment to communicating Biblical truth through film. The film is rich in talent on both sides of the camera. Jordan Trovillion plays the lead role in this movie. She is a true professional and does an excellent job in her portrayal of Rachel Whitaker. In the roll of her caring father Jay Pickett is best known for his roles in General Hospital and Soda Springs. Playing the part of Professor Marcus Kaman and probably best known for his role as the “judge” in the TV series Night Court is Harry Anderson. Playing the part of Professor Joseph G. Portland, the film is also blessed to have veteran film and television actor, Clarence Gilyard, well-known for his work in Matlock and Walker Texas Ranger.

Rich Christiano is a successful and recognized American filmmaker, who has directed, produced and written many Christian films. He owns Christiano Film Group, co-founded Five & Two Pictures and founded ChristianMovies.com in 1997.

Although the interview will deal with the upcoming movie, “A Matter of Faith,” focus will also be addressed to the impact of cinema in communication and on society. The program will be of interest to people with a sense of humor, a passionate heart and an interest in improving their understanding of what makes Christian movies Christian.
