When the sky became the ramp: Aero modelling competition at GNIOT

National Level- Aero Modelling Competition named ‘Aerotrix Super Challenge’ held at Greater Noida Institute of Technology, where contestants from Delhi NCR were participated.
 
April 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Greater Noida, UP- Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) based in Knowledge Park played host to the National Level- Aero Modelling Competition named ‘Aerotrix Super Challenge’. The competition lasted two days. Passionate participants made sure there was never a dull moment during the competition and ideas flew (both literally and metaphorically) left, right and centre. Large number contestants including students from various universities like IFTM University (Moradabad), IPGI- Delhi, Matrix Geo and GNIOT and professionals participated in this competition.GNIOT’s students turned out in full strength and played attentive audience to the participants. Also present were GNIOT’s Chairman- K L Gupta, Vice Chairman- B L Gupta, Professor (Mechanical Engg.)- A K Arora and various faculty members.

The Chairman- K L Gupta said, ”You should have seen the enthusiasm level of the participants. It was contagious. I felt like I was transported back to my student years. We are proud to organize a national level competition on such an interesting subject.”

Aerotrix’ s technical trainer, Anukul said, “All individuals have different caliber and skills. All the participants in the competition have good understanding about the industry and they can contribute tremendously to industrial growth.”

One of the participants Rahul Jain, who is also the Director of Institute of Photography and Geo Informatics said, “Such competitions help in understanding the industrial innovations and also develop confidence among participants. Youngsters have a lot of energy and enthusiasm, and they just need the right direction.”

GNIOT got selected for final round of ‘Aerotrix Super Challenge’.  Yash Agarwal, Mohammad Danish, Amit Kushlendra, Abhay were the winners in the “Best Flight” category. Amit Sharma and Rahul Jain from Institute of Photography and Geo Informatics won in the “Best Fabrication” category during the event. The competition was organized by four students of GNIOT’s Mechanical Engg. Department: namely, Prankit Baliyaan, Alfisha Khan, Nootan Mishra and Gauransh Srivastava under the name Aspire.
