The Distinctive Edge raises over $7,000 for Operation Smile!
Sales and marketing firm helps raise money to fund reconstructive surgery for children around the world
[Lutherville Timonium, MD] (April 21, 2014) –The Distinctive Edge, a sales and marketing firm, announced that team members have raised more than $7,000 for Operation Smile, a children's medical charity that provides cleft lip and palate repair surgeries to children worldwide.
To raise money for Operation Smile, The Distinctive Edge has sponsored many events. Most recently, they partnered with CVP’s of Towson to have an Operation Smile Olympics. CVP’s donated the venue as well as some gift cards for prizes that were raffled off. An Ipad was also raffled at the event to help raise additional funds. In the spirit of March Madness, they had a bracket style tournament set up. Over 60 teams signed up to play! Teams competed in games from the hit show “Minute to Win It” as well as final playoff games that included pong and cornhole. Winners took home a cash prize of $400, but graciously gave half back to the charity! They raised just under $2,000 at the event and have collectively raised over $7,000 for the year.
