Brilliance Honda Named Recipient of 2013 Honda President’s Award

CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. - April 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Each year American Honda Motor Co. recognizes its top dealerships throughout the country by awarding them with the company’s top award, the Honda President’s Award. Because of its performance in 2013, Brilliance Honda in Crystal Lake (http://www.brilliancehonda.com/honda-dealers-crystal-lake.htm) has been named as one of the Honda President’s Award winners. This is the first President’s Award that Brilliance Honda has earned.

In 2013 there were over 1,000 Honda dealerships that took part in the program, with Brilliance Honda being one of the 173 dealerships that had the privilege of taking home Honda’s distinct honor. In order to be given the distinction of being a Honda President’s Award winner, dealerships had to meet or surpass certain President’s Award criteria (https://presidentsaward.programhq.com/rules.psp) in areas such as sales, customer service and satisfaction, training, and profitability.

For 2013, dealerships had to be profitable as of the November 2013 financial statement, achieve average or above average year-to-date retail sales effectiveness, be image-approved, earn at least 70 points, and be in the top 15% of Honda dealerships based on total points earned, among other criteria.

John Mendel, executive vice president for automobile sales for Honda said that Honda’s “passion for excellence” is what pushes the manufacturer in everything that it does. Mendel added that since the President’s Award was created in 1995 that it has been a way to “challenge our dealerships” and throughout the years has been “altered to ensure we remain industry leaders in customer service and satisfaction.”
