Colonial Figure Skating Ice Crystals Show “Dreams of Gold” to Feature 2014 National Competitors

BOXBOROUGH, Mass. - April 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Colonial Figure Skating Club, an organization whose elite alumni includes Olympic medalists Nancy Kerrigan, Tiffany Scott and Paul Wylie announces its annual Ice Crystals Show “Dreams of Gold”, a spectacular two-day special performance, created by Colonial FSC artistic directors and skaters. The show will be held at Nashoba Olympia Rink in Boxborough, MA, Saturday and Sunday, May 3 & 4, 2014.

This has been the Olympic year, which has become the inspiration for this 42nd Ice Crystals show’s theme “Dreams of Gold”, featuring club skaters and 2014 U.S National Competitors. This show will represent different countries and cultures, such as Russia, USA, Europe, Latin America and others. Iris Zhao, 2014 National Juvenile Champion will be joined with Eastern and National medalists, along with Theatre on Ice and Synchro teams.

The 2014 Ice Crystals creative team led by Sheryl Franks, Director and Chad Brennan, Assistant Director. Sheryl is a 1980 Olympian, Principal Skater Disney On Ice, and a Colonial FSC coach for 30 years. Chad is a former national competitor, current national level coach and longtime Colonial FSC member.

“This year of course, is the Olympic year which is very special to me after competition in the 1980 Olympics at Lake Placid, NY. I have been so fortunate to bring my experience, favorite memories, dreams of believing, hard work and commitment,” said Franks. “We have chosen the theme in hopes that our skaters will truly believe, dreams can come true!”

Colonial FSC is proud to continue the support of “Why Me & Sherry’s House,” a well-known Worcester non-profit organization which provides crisis support to children with cancer and their families during treatments.
