HHHunt Builds Hunsaker Home in 25 Days in First Habitat Subdivision in Hanover County

RICHMOND, Va. - April 21, 2014 - PRLog -- HHHunt volunteers and business partners have built a new home for the Hunsaker family in only 25 days as part of a blitz build for Hanover Habitat for Humanity. The home is located in the Bailey Woods development, the first-ever Habitat subdivision in Hanover County, Virginia. HHHunt is also working to develop the community’s entrance, including signage and landscaping.

To celebrate the great success of the blitz build and new home, a dedication ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, April 26th at 3:00 p.m. at the home (10130 Ashglade Court, Ashland, VA 23005).

One of eight new homes and a renovated house in the Bailey Woods neighborhood, the Hunsaker residence is a 4-bedroom, 2-bath bungalow style home with 1,796 square feet. Features include a grand cathedral ceiling in the family room, a large country porch with stone accent columns, and a large deck. It has a number of energy efficient features, including ceiling fans in the family room and all bedrooms and a high efficiency 15 seer Electric Heat Pump.

The home was built for Katharine Hunsaker, an assistant controller with Rink Management in Mechanicsville, who is a single mother of eight children including three who currently live at home, plus two Marines, a nurse, a server, and a college student who live on their own.
