STONEHAM, Mass. - April 21, 2014 - PRLog -- The 44^th annual celebration of Earth Day takes place on April 22^nd.  A major focus of this year’s event is green cities and things that can be done to make a more sustainable and healthy environment for the world’s population.

Today, more than half of the world’s population lives in urban environments.  These concentrated areas of people utilize large quantities of energy and can suffer from air quality problems due to pollution.  This pollution not only can impact people while they are outdoors, but this same air enters buildings through air intakes, doors and open windows.
