PRLog - April 21, 2014 - CARLISLE, Pa. -- Festival style fun returns to the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds as part of the 2014 Carlisle Import & Kit Nationals. The automotive showcase runs May 16-18 and in addition to an international showfield laced with cars from around the globe, the weekend also plays host to multiple bands, many of which will play the main stage – sponsored once again by Harrisburg-based radio station The River 97.3. Those bands, along with the cars on display, combine to make up the best import and kit car-themed event in the country.
Gates open at 7 a.m. daily for the show and not long after the first patrons come onsite, music will fill the air. Not only will music again be featured on The River 97.3 main stage, there will also be a stage of sorts positioned near the main showfield entrance atop the Subway restaurant location at Gate 3.
Acts and locations onsite vary, but beginning at noon on Friday, the following are scheduled to appear: Luv Gods, Honeypump, Quickdraw, Daisy Cutter, KB Bluez Band and Showdown. Each band will play multiple sets and in some cases, multiple days as part of the musical ambiance that backs one of the most fun-filled events on the annual Carlisle Events’ schedule. As each group goes, the music offered varies, but each will bring something special to the table.
Luv Gods: Their music includes mostly the 80's, but you will also hear songs from the 70's, 90's and 2000's.
Honeypump: Honeypump began as a female-fronted variety rock cover band in 1995 and has emerged as one of Central PA's premier live bands. Honeypump provides a great variety of music selections appealing to everyone as fun and upbeat entertainment.
Quickdraw: This group plays, as they call it, Country & Rock music done right. That means you're going to hear great covers plus some original music too. Hear QuickDraw as they tackle hits from Miranda Lambert, The Band Perry, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Carrie Underwood, Jefferson Airplane and so many more.
Daisy Cutter: From Classic Pop to Rock, the Beatles and more, Daisy Cutter plays it all! They claim their brand of music to be all around Righteous Rock and Roll and they're bringing their talents to Carlisle.
KB Bluez Band: No strangers to Carlisle, this group offers an acoustic mix of rock and roll songs mixed in with a few their “other favorites.” Fronted by Mike Kell, a set or two filled with high energy fun will be delivered!
