FRISCO, Texas - April 21, 2014 - PRLog -- The Frisco Area Republican Women (FARW) donated 50 teddy bears to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County (CACDC). Based in Frisco, TX, FARW is dedicated to providing political information and education (http://farw.org/about/caring-4-america/) to the electorate, increasing the effectiveness of women in the course of good government through active political participation, and promoting the principles of the Republican Party.

The CACDC provides justice and healing for abused children through interagency collaboration and community education. When a child arrives at the center for the first time, the child is able to pick a teddy bear from the “bear closet.” The teddy bear serves as something special for the child following the initial interview process. In addition to the teddy bears, FARW raised additional funds for the CACDC during their March 13th luncheon.

“FARW is committed to giving back to our community,” said Terri Miller, President of FARW. “The CACDC does such an incredible job of helping to reduce the trauma to child victims as well as to promote emotional healing through their programs. We are pleased to be able to help the CACDC in their efforts to provide justice and healing to these young victims.”

“It was a privilege and an honor to provide the CACDC with the bears to help them with their mission to help a child in the healing process,” added Carol Gallagher, FARW Caring for America Chair.
