Faiz Kermani joins other children’s authors at AuthorCon UK 2014

FRANCE, France - April 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Award-winning children’s author, Faiz Kermani, will be one of those taking part in AuthorCon UK 2014, the inaugural UK book fair to celebrate independent authors. It will be held on Saturday April 26th 2014 from 10am to 6pm at MadLab Manchester.

AuthorCon UK 2014 is the brainchild of K.C. Finn, who is an established author herself. The event is set to be one of the highest profile gatherings in the UK for both established and emerging writing talent. It is also being backed by The Wishing Shelf Independent Book Awards, which is rapidly becoming one of the high profile competitions for the writing community.

“Children’s books will be well represented with a special section for authors, illustrators and award-winners to showcase their work and offer reading sessions and activities,” said Faiz. “It’s going to be a lot of fun meeting young readers and also swapping notes with other authors.”

At AuthorCon UK 2014, Faiz will be sharing his latest book called Golbo the Spider’s Amazing Vacuum Cleaner Adventure. The story is about a spider who has spent his whole life evading these evil machines until one day his luck runs out…

“I don’t want to give the story away, but it’s a tale that is completely and utterly nuts,” admits Faiz. “Based on the feedback I’ve had from young readers so far about my books, the crazier the stories the funnier they find them, so you have to try and give them what they want!”

Faiz’s children’s books have won awards in the UK and US and have been translated into French, German and Spanish. He has worked with a number of schools and libraries internationally on literacy and reading projects and is always happy to hear from teachers who would like to use one of his books in class.
