The Locator Services Group assists Fortune 1000 Companies with the identification and recovery of millions of dollars in unclaimed funds, such as lost vendor payments, outstanding refunds, and unredeemed securities. In 2013 Fortune named TLSG as one of the 100 fastest growing inner city companies in the US.
Sawyer was recognized for her business acumen, her inspiration to other women, and her active role at the helm of TLSG. “Kim Sawyer is an outstanding leader who has been instrumental in driving innovation and sustainable economic growth,” said Pamela Prince-Eason, President and CEO of WBENC, the nation’s leader in women’s business development.
“I am honored and proud to receive this recognition by WBENC and look forward to serving as advocate to other women in business,” said Kim Sawyer.
Sawyer, whose husband, Boston attorney Robert Sherman, is the new U.S. Ambassador to Portugal, plans to also share her business acumen, experience, and knowledge with women business owners, entrepreneurs, and small business owners in Portugal.
One of fourteen women recognized nationally, Sawyer was the only recipient from New England. She was selected for this national honor by the Center for Women and Enterprise (CWE), one of WBENC's 14 Regional Partners, which not only processes WBENC's world-class certification of WBE’s, but also provides skills-building educational programs and business development opportunities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
“The CWE is honored that Kim Sawyer was recognized as our Regional Star. Kim is an exemplary business leader and is a role model for other women in business,” said Susan Rittscher, President and CEO of the Center for Women and Enterprise.
