NEW YORK - April 18, 2014 - PRLog -- On Thursday, April 24th, 2014, The Selective Corporate Internship Program (SCIP) will host its 17th anniversary celebration “An Evening with the Stars” at the exclusive Battery Gardens, inside Battery Park, on the water opposite 17 State Street, New York, NY 10004 from 6:30 -10:30 pm.

Among the notable “stars” being recognized this year: Mr. Barry McLaughlin, Executive Director, First Tee of Metropolitan  New York (Corporation Of The Year Award); Mr. Maximo Muniz, Sr. Partner, New York Life Insurance Company (Leadership Of The Year Award); Mr. Claes Nobel, Co-Founder & Chairman of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) and senior member of the Nobel Prize family, (The Humanitarian Of The Year Award); Dr. Rudy Crew, President, Medgar Evers College (Ambassador of The Year Award); Mr. Dionicio Perez, Executive Director, J.P. Morgan Chase & Company, PRIMER, Mitchell & Titus, LLP (The Partnership Of The Year Award Recipients) and Mr. Mark Whalen, President/CEO, MJ Whalen Consulting, LLC (Advocate of The Year Award).  We recognize their unwavering commitment in the shared vision “to enlighten, employ, and empower our future leaders and entrepreneurs” in the community.

“This seventeenth year milestone will be earmarked with Gala Chair, Mr. Sterling Roberson, Vice President, United Federation of Teachers” adds Miguel Mancebo, SCIP Co-Founder.

Serving as the Emcee for the event will be Ms. Jessica Asencio, founder of the Latino Networks Coalition at J.P. Morgan Chase & Company.  Dzul Dance Company will be part of program showcase.
