BOSTON - May 20, 2014 - PRLog -- PetPace.com is excited to announce the launch of its innovative wireless smart collar to accurately monitor the state of pets health and well-being and to facilitate early detection of diseases or behavior problems. PetPace.com understands pet owners will go above and beyond to ensure their animal companions enjoy a healthy, long and active life. Ideally, that includes quality affordable medical care and the ability to detect potential health problems as early as possible.

Early detection of disease and other health issues unquestionably improves outcomes, enhances quality of life and significantly reduces health-related costs. However, pets rarely benefit from such early detection. Animals do not report their pains and discomfort. Instead their instinct is to hide their symptoms. By the time symptoms become noticeable and owners seek medical attention, the disease is usually at an advanced stage. This not only causes unnecessary pain and suffering for pets but also limitstreatment options

All that is about to dramatically change with PetPace smart Collar for dogs and cats. This comprehensive health-related knowledge base and continuous monitoring collar is poised to revolutionize how owners and their veterinariansdeliver preventive care to ensure pets health and wellbeing and to provide owners with peace of mind.

With PetPace, miniature sensors attached to a pet's collar seamlessly, noninvasively and automatically monitor vital signs, activity patterns, positions, and other physiologic and behavior parameters. Big Data proprietary software analyzes the information in real time in the context of historical and breed-specific criteria. A sophisticated rule-based engine supports data optimization by quickly accessing and cross-referencing enormous amounts of relevant information. If any cause for concern is detected an alert is generated to designated recipients to take swift, positive action. In addition to the early detection of health issues, the device is excellent for monitoring pets with existing health problems, or those at risk of developing diseases, to evaluate their condition, progress and response to treatment.

The PetPace collar was developed with the guidance of expert veterinarians, representing various specialty disciplines of veterinary medicine, with the goal of providing owners and fellow veterinarians an advanced tool to extend the veterinarian reachand revolutionize preventive medicine.

"After years of research, I am so happy and proud to be launching this great pet health product in Florida and Massachusetts,"says Chief Veterinary Scientist, Dr. Asaf Dagan. “This collar will enable pets, for the first time, to ‘tell’ us how they feel”.

Additional features include the ability to build a personalized health profile of the pet and to enablecomparisons with other similar dogs and cats, set daily activity goals and monitor calories burned, get periodical health reports and even communicate with like-minded owners on a private social network. Most of all, it will give you the peace of mind that disease, pain or discomfort, will not go unnoticed.

The collars will be offered at $150 one-time purchase fee and $15 monthly service fee.
