Managing Director Sebastian Zang draws a positive balance on the investment in India: "We have identified a highly experienced local manager for the technology department very early in this undertaking. The expertise of that manager was particularly helpful in the selection of good and loyal employees, today we employ a team of 15 developers and test engineers. Obviously, we had to overcome some challenges typical of India, but overall I think the IT industry in India is very mature industry that has adopted Western standards".
As a key success criteria managing director Zang consists of establishing a networks of local suppliers, which requires development of personal relationships. "Since the relationship building takes time”, says Zang, “newcomers like us can benefit from what I call derived relationships. Another German company would recommend their tried and tested suppliers to us, which would give us an excellent head start in building relationships with that supplier. Commitment to quality and timeliness is far better than if there wasn’t any recommendation. This will be of much help in any country, in India it is a MUST.”
