The company recently received its official TRSA “Clean Green” certification, and uses steam energy from Wheelabrator Westchester L.P.to fuel their laundry equipment and heating systems.
The rain water collection project began with the construction of the new facility at 4 John Walsh Boulevard in Peekskill and was completed early this year. Two 15,000 collection tanks gather rain water from the 100,000 square feet of roof to be used in their laundering process. This saves approximately 200,000 gallons of water each month-- 2.4 million gallons annually-- before taking into account the additional runoff experienced during heavy rains.
