SOLitude Lake Management's Social Media Campaign Will Benefit the National Forest Foundation

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - April 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Through its corporate volunteering and outreach program, The SOLution, SOLitude Lake Management, an industry leader in lake and pond management, fisheries management and related environmental services for the Eastern United States, announced a social media campaign that results in trees being planted. In honor of Earth Day (April 22) and Arbor Day (April 25), SOLitude partnered with the National Forest Foundation (NFF) to plant one new pine tree for every new social media follower through May 15.

“Our company serves to improve our ecosystems and waterways through environmentally sustainable solutions, and we are drawn to partner with organizations like the NFF and participate in important initiatives,” said Tracy King, Director of Marketing. This is SOLitude’s third year of organizing this campaign and past years' involvement is driving this year's goal, she noted. “In the last two years, we have already planted 300 trees,” she said. “And this year we would like to add another 200+ to our total.”

Ms. King also explained that SOLitude's social media channels are an important way to not only connect with their customers and environmentalists nationwide, but also as a means to educate and share industry news and helpful tips.

The social media campaign has been cross promoted by the National Forest Foundation through their social media channels.
