BROOKLYN, N.Y. - April 20, 2014 - PRLog -- The Mac Support Store, Brooklyn’s first Apple Repair Shop, has announced that they are taking part in The Park Slope Civic Council’s annual “Spring Civic Sweep” to collect Electronics for Recycling.

"It's a great opportunity for residents to pitch-in and be part of this beautification, recycling and general cleaning-up event" said Jeff Graber, owner of The Mac Support Store. Mark the Calendar for Sunday, April 27, 2014, put on some old clothes, and come on down to the sidewalk in front of the Old Stone House/JJ Byrne Playground, 5th Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets from 10:00am to 2:00pm.Refreshments will be served at the event, and all tools and supplies will be provided.

Everyone may participate in the tree stewardship outings with the Gowanus Canal Conservancy, and learn how to prune, weed, and compost trees on the streets of Park Slope. Volunteers will also be picking up litter on sidewalks as well as painting over graffiti on lampposts, which will be supervised by adults. In an effort to help the declining Monarch butterflies, they will be giving away milkweed plants. Don’t forget that Rick Snell and Friends will be on hand to dish-out some of their famed Bluegrass tunes.
