Create a sculpture out of soap

SEVEN HILLS, Australia - April 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Children will love creating their own soap sculptures and using them when washing their hands. It's a great way to get the kids away from the TV and do something creative and messy. You don't have to venture far for the items needed for this creative task - just take a look in your pantry.

What you need:
Soap flakes
Bowl
Spoon
Water
Food colouring
Waxed paper
Cookie cutters (optional)

Activity:

Pour some soap flakes into a medium-size bowl (you can make your own soap flakes by grating a bar of soap).

Stir in water until the mixture reaches a dough-like consistency.

Add a few drops of food colouring to the mixture to make coloured soaps.

Cover your table with waxed paper.

Place the dough on the waxed paper, and sculpt the soap, or use cookie cutters, to mould the soap into any shape you like.

Leave the soap to dry overnight before use. Then it's ready to show off!
