HeroBox Packs 20 "Welcome Home Kits"

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. - April 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Volunteers gathered at HeroBox headquarters Monday, April 14, to pack twenty “Welcome Home Kits for the Homeward Heroes Program. HeroBox will be shipping these kits to three new VA partners. The Atlanta VAMC and the Birmingham VAMC will each receive five kits. The remaining ten will be sent to the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System at Tuskegee. The VA’s will then present the “Welcome Home Kits” to homeless veterans receiving housing.

Our Homeward Heroes program is a partnership with the VA to support homeless veterans who are receiving permanent housing support, long-term case management and clinical services designed to enhance their physical and mental health.  While the VA focuses on providing housing, HeroBox strives to support these heroes by providing these “Welcome Home Kits”. HeroBox Executive Director, Ryan Housley, stated: “The best thing about these Welcome Home Kits is that the heroes who receive them actually own the items they need to make their house a home.”
