PRLog - April 16, 2014 - PRAGUE, Czech Republic -- StormBringer Studios, a rapidly growing development studio from Georgia, have announced their partnership with Cashplay, the monetization platform for skill games that enables game developers and publishers to integrate real money tournaments into their titles.
StormBringer Studios, a former government funded project from Georgia, was founded over four years ago. Their first projects GeoPolice1 & 2 successfully achieved over one million downloads worldwide.
Now the team is independant and involved in developing skill games, with several titles available on the App Store and another twenty planned to go live in the next six months.
The first game that will feature real cash tournaments is Tesla Runner, a seemingly simple, yet addictive endless runner with slick graphics and an engaging soundtrack. The game is currently available on the App Store with the new cash tournaments mode to follow by the end of April.
Parallel to working on skill games like Tesla Runner, StormBringer Studios are working on their leading project, Steameria:
Irakli Kokrashvili, the CEO and co-founder of StormBringer Studios, said: “We are very excited about our partnership with Cashplay. The introduction skill-based cash tournaments are not only beneficial for us as a company but also for our users as this feature makes games more exciting.”
Jarrod Epps, the CEO of Cashplay said: “We are very happy to partner with StormBringer Studios, a team that is so passionate about games and one that has made real progress. They have many titles coming out in the next few months, so we are really excited to play a part in their future success.”
Cashplay is an easy way for developers to integrate worldwide skill-based cash tournaments into online and mobile games. This offers gamers an opportunity to compete against each other for real money while developers can benefit from a monetization model that doesn't detract from the game experience.
Cashplay are using best-in-class technology and operate all the fraud-protection, geo-blocking, client-identification and cheat-prevention systems necessary for handling real cash in games. The company offers cash tournaments for skill games in almost all countries worldwide including the US. It allows gamers to easily make payments via PayPal, Credit and Debit card and will soon go live with direct-to-carrier billing in selected markets.
Thanks to a landmark decision by the Apple Developer team, Cashplay is the only provider of tournaments to receive approval from Apple's App Store for real money payouts to iOS users on a global basis.
