Samuels, who was born in Milwaukee and lived there for many of his formative years, will also be performing songs from his recently released EP ”The Fall” and his 2013 full length CD, “Great Big World.
From 2000-2010, Samuels led Roxy Monoxide, a well-known band amongst aficionados of the power-pop genre of rock n’ roll. Throughout his life, Samuels’ love for rock and roll’s “hidden treasure” and his unique ability to recount the quirkiest milestones of live, love and career, has fueled his songwriting and performances. His simple, honest and unpretentious vocal style has drawn comparisons to Dave Pirner of Soul Asylum, and Elvis Costello, among others. Over the years, Samuels has performed alongside such artists as The Fixx, Steve Wynn & Miracle Three, Bow Wow Wow, Third Eye Blind, D-Generation, Tommy Keene, and others.
