Who Knows Best - The Voters Or The GOP Bullies?

Alexis Stuart is proud that she is not connected to the GOP, which is out of touch with the voters!

PRLog - Apr. 15, 2014 - SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Alexis Stuart is proud that she is not connected to the GOP, which is out of touch with the voters!

“I have been a conservative republican my whole life, but now feel the Republican Party has left me!” said Alexis Stuart

When Alexis Stuart was taught in elementary school that any citizen could grow up and run for elected public office, she believed her teacher.  She still does. But now that she is actually engaged in her campaign, Alexis is being harassed and pressured by members of the Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Central Committee GOP to cease her bid for Congress in California's 24th Congressional District.  To date, seven different Republicans have tried to 'reason' with her.

One reason these well-intentioned Republicans have attempted to persuade Alexis to drop out is that she is not connected, nor backed, by any large corporations, PACs, or special interests.

The second reason is that California's ill-conceived election law requires that only the two top vote-getters in the primary be allowed to run in the general election. This law has a very negative by-product: it is possible that two members of the same political party will end up on the general election ballot.

Alexis has been asked: "You don’t want to be the candidate everyone hates because you took votes away and prevented a Republican candidate from appearing on the general ballot in November, do you?"

Alexis is running for Congress because she is not happy with the GOP and the candidates they select to run for office. She does not want the GOP to pick her candidate, nor to be bullied into dropping out of the race.

Alexis Stuart has found, while speaking with hundreds of citizens on the street, that a large percentage of them are conservatives and independents. Many of them will no longer vote because the Republican Party continues to support moderate, to liberal candidates. Candidates who do not believe in conservative solutions to our many national problems. When Alexis informs registered voters that some of the GOP members are pressuring her to drop out, they are even more determined to vote for her.

Alexis believes that any number of candidates should be allowed to run for any office, no matter what their political beliefs.  Let the public pick one winner out of each party to proceed on to the general election.  She, and many other citizens, is tired of the political parties making the decision as to who may run for office.  She would never try to convince anyone, of any party, to drop out of a campaign, and she refuses to be intimidated by anyone who tells her: "If you don't drop out of this race it’s going to get nasty!"

Alexis makes a plea to the voters “Please do not let our elections be stolen by whoever has the most money!”

Help Alexis Stuart take back our country by voting for her in the primary election on June 3rd.
