Diana Lytel Joins the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel’s Board of Directors

Attorney Diana Lytel, of Slaughter & Reagan, LLP, was chosen to serve as a board member for a preeminent regional organization for defense lawyers. This appointment allows her to increase her leadership activity in the organization.

 
PRLog - Apr. 15, 2014 - VENTURA, Calif. -- Ventura Business Litigation Attorney Diana Lytel was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC). As a result, her name now appears on the list of board members that is posted on ASCDC's website. Ms. Lytel, who is one of the youngest board members for the organization, was specifically appointed to serve as the Ventura County representative for ASCDC. The Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, is a regional organization that provides various educational and professional resources for defense attorneys. Ms. Lytel is a skilled litigator who practices law at Slaughter & Reagan, LLP.

In reference to her new leadership role, Attorney Lytel said she is honored to be working side-by-side with her well-respected peers in advancing the goals of ASCDC. She called the organization “unmatched” in the service that it provides legal defense professionals. In addition to being a board member, Ms. Lytel also serves as Co-Chair of the organization’s General/Premises Liability Committee. In this role, she recently headed the Jonathan Beach Club event, which was held on April 10, 2014. This event covered the most recent developments within the new Howell Paradigm for assessing damages in personal injury cases.

ASCDC now has more than 2,200 members, according to its website. The organization provides its members with opportunities for specialized continuing education, professional networking and involvement in legislative and appellate matters. ASCDC also serves as a liaison with insurance industry leaders.

Attorney Lytel primarily practices business, commercial and insurance litigation. Some examples of the different types of clients she represents are Fortune 500 companies, insurance companies, financial institutions, small companies and individuals. In addition to serving as a fierce legal advocate in the courtroom, Ms. Lytel is also highly experienced in representing clients through mediation and arbitration.

In addition to ASCDC, she also maintains membership in many other professional organizations, including the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association, California Women Lawyers, the Santa Barbara Barristers and numerous bar associations in the Southern California region. Attorney Lytel was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2006, and she has also been admitted to the United States District Court for the Central and Eastern Districts of California.
