Windows XP users get a new tool to protect themselves online

The new xpXtend software monitors all network activity, and directs both incoming and outgoing traffic through the XProtection Network.

In turn, the XProtection Network maintains directories of known internet locations – both safe sites and unsafe ones – and ensures that users stay away from risky places. This protects the user from accidentally encountering malicious software which can damage the user’s system or data. xpXtend also allows each user to easily add their own personal favorite sites to the XProtection Network; for example, the user can add their friends/family personal pages, or the web site of their employer.
