—Collinson Media & Events, a leading provider of media and marketing services for the meetings and travel industries, is establishing the company’s overall strategic development under owner and president Chris Collinson. In his newly expanded position, Collinson is leading the reorganization of the company’s legacy brands in its leisure travel division, an expansion of its digital products and services, and the continued growth of its well-respected meetings brands. His leadership reflects his commitment to relationship-building and customer service.

Prior to his current position, Chris Collinson was president and publisher of the meetings division, which he launched with Rejuvenate Marketplace in 2007, swiftly followed by trade shows and magazines in various meetings and group travel market segments. He joined the family firm in 2003 and later bought the business with his brother, Newt Collinson IV, who served as company president and leader of the leisure division until early 2014. Under the new structure, Chris Collinson is responsible for setting the vision, identifying best-in-business strategies and technologies, and leveraging them across all Collinson brands and services.

New features will be revealed during the next few months, including events, social media integration, and an expanded destination focus. Plans are underway for consumer events, which will drive leisure travelers to preferred destinations, and complement the new Travel Connect website.
