The check was presented to Craig Floyd, chairman and CEO of NLEOMF, by the IJIS Institute’s chairman of the Board of Directors and the executive director, Mike Davis and Steve Ambrosini.
The 4th Annual Badge & Tech Benefit & Awards Dinner was held in conjunction with the IJIS Institute National Symposium on January 15-17, 2014. Ambrosini noted, “Our Badge & Tech Benefit & Awards Dinner is an opportunity for IJIS Institute members and associates to step back from work and symposium business and contribute to worthy causes, such as the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, so they can honor those officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.”
“We are very grateful that the IJIS Institute selected the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund as the beneficiary of their 2014 Badge & Tech Benefit Awards Dinner, and for the work they conduct to help safeguard our law enforcement and public safety officials,” Mr. Floyd shared.
Previous recipients of the Badge and Tech Benefit donations include the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), Web Wise Kids, and victims of Hurricane Sandy through the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Foundation. The next Badge & Tech Benefit & Awards Dinner will be held on January 22, 2015 in Arlington, Virginia. Opportunities to sponsor the Badge & Tech Benefit are available and recommendations for future donation recipients are being accepted.
