Magna Electric Corporation Named Business of the Year

REGINA, Saskatchewan - April 14, 2014 - PRLog -- REGINA, SK – At the 2014 Paragon Awards on Friday April 4 at the Queensbury Centre, Magna Electric Corp. was named Business of the Year.

Awards were bestowed by the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce.

"We are so very honored by this award and the opportunities we have to serve the electrical maintenance, training and safety needs in Canada," said Kerry Heid, president of MEC, who was recently named to Saskatchewan Business Magazine’s list of ‘Saskatchewan’s Most Influential Men’.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club, winners of the 101st Grey Cup in Regina in 2013 — was named second runner-up.

MEC was recently acquired by Texas-based Shermco Industries to form the largest electrical testing and maintenance company in North America.
