His 30 years of marketing experience began at Procter and Gamble, where he worked in sales and brand development for the firm’s paper products division. Moving to the agency side of the business, Schaefer joined the Houston office of Ogilvy & Mather (O&M), where he helped manage the Shell Oil account. In 1992, Fort Worth-based Justin Boot Company recruited Ken to be the director of Marketing – helping lead the Justin brand to its current position as the world’s largest western boot manufacturer. In 1995, Ken joined forces with Bobby and Jan Blanchard to create Blanchard Schaefer Advertising, a full-service, strategy-first advertising agency.
