Jeddah Green Sports Team for Women

The administration of Jeddah Green Sports Team for Women, the pioneering Saudi women team in sports accomplishments, has signed a contract with Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd. to sponsor different sports activities the team shall organize and participate in during the current year (2014). On the occasion, Maisoon Al Suwaigh, Manager of Jeddah  Green Sports Teem said that the team has adopted the motivation of women sports actions in Jeddah since the year 2004, establishing a big number of sports teams, delivering initiatives for organizing different sports championships and competitions, winning the first place in many championships and organizing sports forums and activities to educate the public, generating the participation of sizable public universities and becoming the first to co-organize the Sports Day with the College of Business Administration (2013) attended by over 400 persons. The team was the first to organize a sports forum " Motion is a Blessing" under the patronage of H.H Princess Sita Bint Abdulla and participation of Dar Alhikma College (2012) attended by over 700 persons. The team has also adopted the organization of Elite Basketball Championship in cooperation with the Business Administration College  (2011), and the Universities Basketball Championship organized by Iffat University (2009) as well as the first to organize sports camps outside the Kingdom in (2005).

Al Suwaigh extended her gratitude to Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd. for sponsoring the team during (2014), ensuring that such a gesture is expected from the national companies that support Saudi sports and believe in the importance of supporting women sports towards a better health for Saudi women.

On his part the CEO of Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd. Mr. Al Shareef Munzir Al Harthi explained that the sponsorship comes within the framework of the company's social responsibility which dedicates more attention to the family, being the core and base of the society and awareness to women on the importance of sports' role in the physical and psychological health and moral. The CEO has also highlighted the sports role in supporting the team work, developing sports culture among women, raising their awareness about sports' practicing and positive effects, putting more emphasis on the importance of supporting sports activities, being a style of life and a basis for health in the leading countries.
