Dubai UAE April 2014: Gulf For Good, the UAE based non-profit organisation is making steady progress towards education of the underprivileged children and tackling the obstacles such as  lack of enough classrooms and unsafe environment for school going girls.

"In 2014 itself, three of our four challenges directly support construction of new classrooms in Laos and Tanzania and building safe housing for rural girls in Morocco. Our Mongolia challenge helps build a medical centre for underprivileged children," said Tricia Evans, Governor Gulf For Good.

Since its inception in 2011, Gulf For Good has completed 45 adventure challenges, enabling sponsorship worth more than US$ 2.5 Million for schools, hospitals, orphanages, and medical equipment in 23 countries in the Middle East, Asia, South America and Africa.

The Mighty Mekong challenge, Laos, the first challenge of 2014, enabled a new facility, classrooms and toilets in Nong Pham Secondary School in southern Laos. The school caters to close to 500 children of 16 neighboring villages in southern Laos.

Evans highlighted similar progress planned via the two challenges; High Atlas challenge in Morocco (June) and Trek to the Roof of Africa (July).

"Our upcoming challenge in Morocco will help a Moroccan NGO Education For All in building a boarding house in High Atlas mountain region of Morocco. This will directly benefit more than 35 girls who can continue their education beyond local school.

The next challenge, one of our most popular challenges to Kilimanjaro, Trek to the Roof of Africa will help build new classrooms in Sumaye, a Tanzanian government primary school on the plains to the south of Moshi town. The work is facilitated by Village Education Project, a charity Gulf For Good has supported in the past as well.

"We organize 3 to 4 adventure challenges each year taking people to fabulous location, have a life changing experience and help kids around the world.

Each participant count. Every single challenger can make a difference to the lives of these kids. We encourage the community to step-up their support and participation in our challenges in 2014.

According to Evans, enabling a lasting change and helping shift the cycle of poverty is a true legacy of Gulf For Good.
