PRLog - Apr. 14, 2014 - The arrival and opening of the hotel means that this is the first international hotel opening its doors in Freetown, the Capital of Sierra Leone.

Baar (CH) /Ras al Khaimah (UAE)/ Freetown (SLE), April 7, 2014 - Today Swiss International (http://www.swissinternationalhotels.com/) announced the expansion of the Company into Sierra Leone by the opening of the Swiss Spirit Hotel & Suites in Freetown. The hotel will initially count 36 rooms and suites, whilst an expansion is planned for the future.

The hotel will offer a “Swiss Café Restaurant & Lounge”, and a “BOX meeting & Events”

space. The location is right in the middle of the high-end residential district where the beaches of Freetown are just a stone-throw way.

The hotel will be independently run by third generation Lebanese Sierra Leoneans Jiad and Randa Swaid, under a License of Swiss International Hotels (http://www.swissinternationalhotels.com/).

“There is presently a lack of branded hotels in Sierra Leone. This is the main attraction which can and will offer an edge to the competition,’’ said hotel director Jiad Swaid. ”Also the Swiss International hotels connection is always an added edge in the hospitality industry; along with their provided guide lines the relationship would allow us to offer a professional in-house hospitality service and rely on the back stage support by Swiss International.”

Henri Kennedie, CEO of Swiss International commented: we are delighted to see the opening of the Swiss Spirit Hotel & Suites in Freetown, as being now our 3rd country where we are represented in Africa. We are looking to become represented by hotels all over Africa in the next 5 years. Sierra Leone is a country that is focusing on its future. It’s building for the next generation and we are happy to be part of that. Working with the SWAID family has made our task very easy. They have proven for years to be committed to Sierra Leone and its future.

Sierra Leone is a multi-faceted country known for its diamond and gold industry, but the main resources are Fishing, Iron Ore, Bauxite and Titanium. Nature wise you’ll find a bundle of unexploited magical white sand beaches with their mesmerizing horizons.

The hotel itself is located on the high-end tranquil residential “Spur Road” being meters away from the British High Commission.

The hotel is available on www.swissinternationalhotels.com (http://www.swissinternationalhotels.com/hotels) or book via your travel agent.
