How did we get in this situation?

ATLANTA - April 13, 2014 - PRLog -- People are blaming the Government for all the problems we are facing. It is not the Republications or the Democrats nor the President that put us in the shape we are in. It is us; The American people that have given up and do not take a stand. This is the real cause. The Government is what the people say it is. The IRS would not have the power is has unless the people of this nation does nothing to say otherwise. Inch by inch we give in and let the Government tell the people how to think, what to think and how we should bow to the government, forgetting that we the people are the government. It is the people that elect fellow citizens, as our representatives, in the congress to be our voices. It is up to us to stop the madness. It is the people that have to start taking back the government by making our voices heard and using the vote to make the changes. The people we put in any office should be listening to the people and not the other way around. Elected officials are servants to the people. They work for us. The government is not the ruler of the people; they are the servants and workforce for the people.

Americans need to take a look and see at all levels of government and see if the people we elect are hearing the people and abiding by their directives. When was the last time your elected official asked you before a bill was voted on your opinion on the subject? Today we have the tools to enable the people to see every bit of legislation the government is proposing and we should have a means to make our voices heard publicly. On facebook or any congressional web page they could place a poll on these issues and restrict access to citizens of the districts for polling. Every member of congress has access to the voters in their districts and can develop a personal logon for each. Even smart phones or public library systems are available for this purpose.

We all see that it is the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. Wonder why some groups get heard and are in front of the media? These groups know that getting the people aroused and making noise is the key to change. The large majority of Americans feel it is not needed to stand up and make the noise because we just don’t do that. Well, have you seen the changes pass you by? You say that there is nothing we can do but take it. It don’t matter they will do what they want and we have no power to stop it. This is where we have to start thinking like Americans and remember that the nation was full of people that became tired of the government doing as it seen fit and not listening to the people. Do you know that most Americans were very loyal to the English government? They followed the laws and took the abuse for decades and as the English Government became more dictatorial and did not listen to the “Colonies” Some of the people stood up and started to rebel. Not all, many “Colonials” did not fight in the war for independence. Truly only a small group of people stood up and made effort.  About 1/3 of the often overlooked were the fence-sitters who made up the largest group during the revolution. It was the 1/3 that stood up and said: I am mad as hell and won’t take this anymore.

Before we start shooting these ideas down we should be developing ways to make it work not just say “it won’t work”. We start with a process and refine it and enable it so the people can have a voice.  Help us refine and develop this. We need people that do care and want to stand up for your city, county, state and country. Are you ready to make a difference?
