Moss & Associates hires Alexander Smith as Vice President

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - April 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Moss & Associates, one of Florida’s largest construction management companies, has hired Alexander Smith, Jr. as vice president and project executive.

His duties include project management, development and implementation of scheduling and logistics, and overseeing cost, quality and safety control, contract administration, and owner and subcontractor negotiations.

Alex has 18 years of construction industry experience, most recently as vice president of operations for the Plaza Construction Group of Florida, LLC, in Miami. He has managed a wide variety of commercial projects, including government, aviation, office, mixed-use and high-rise facilities.

Alex’s portfolio of work includes The Marquis, a $212-million condo complex at 1100 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami; 1 Hotel and Homes, a $104-million development at 2377 Collins Ave. in Miami Beach, and a variety of government and infrastructure projects, among them the Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport terminal expansion and the Village of Key Biscayne Civic Center.

He received his Bachelor of Science in building construction from the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Building Construction at the University of Florida. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he was an in-flight instructor. He lives with his family in Fort Lauderdale.
