MOAS Announces Annual Summer Learning Institute

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - April 11, 2014 - PRLog -- The 2014 Summer Learning Institute at the Museum of Arts & Sciences (MOAS) begins June 9 and runs through August 1 (no classes week of July 4th). Sessions are weekly for ages 4-13 and include half-day and full-day classes. Class activities range from architecture to science and physics to art to paleontology. About the Museum of Arts & Sciences (MOAS) – The Museum of Arts & Sciences is the primary art, science and history museum in Central Florida. The area's largest museum, MOAS is nationally accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and is a Smithsonian Institution Affiliate. Museum Hours are 9am-5pm (Tuesday‐Saturday) and 11am-5pm (Sunday). Closed Mondays. Museum admission is $12.95 adults; $6.95 children 6‐17; $10.95 seniors and students; members and children 5 and under are free. Planetarium and laser shows daily. Admission includes planetarium shows. Shows will continue in the current planetarium through March 2014. The new MOAS Planetarium is scheduled to open in August 2014. Parking is free. Admission is FREE for Volusia County residents the first Tuesday of each month. MOAS is fully accessible to the handicapped. MOAS is located at 352 S. Nova Road, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.
