PRLog - April 11, 2014 - NEW YORK -- The City of New York has agreed to pay a young Brooklyn man $25,000.00 to finally resolve his allegations of a Brooklyn false arrest. The Brooklyn man had filed his Complaint in the Eastern District of New York on October 11, 2013, wherein he had alleged various causes of action, including Unlawful Stop and Search, False Arrest, Denial of Constitutional Right to a Fair Trial, Malicious Abuse of Process, Malicious Procesution, Unreasonable Force, Failure to Intervene and a vicarious liability calaim against the City of New York. In settling the matter, neither the City of New York nor any of the individual NYPD officers admit that they in any way violated the young Brooklyn man's rights.
The settlement was agreed to at an early Settlement Conference on April 10, 2014, before The Honorable Cheryl L. Pollak. Michael J. Redenburg, Esq. represented the Brooklyn teenager and Attorney Redenburg maintains an office in Lower Manhattan at 150 Broadway, Room 808, New York, NY 10038.
