VIDA Fitness and Capitol Riverfront BID to Host Free 'Get Fit For Summer Workouts' at Yards Park

WASHINGTON - April 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Get those beach bodies ready for summer! VIDA Fitness and the Capitol Riverfront BID have teamed up to offer a wide selection of free outdoor classes from Monday, April 28 through the end of August at Yards Park located at 355 Water St, SE in DC’s Capitol Riverfront neighborhood. The Get Fit For Summer Workouts vary from Zumba to Boot Camp to Sunrise/Sunset Yoga and are free and open to the public in an effort to promote healthy and sustainable lifestyles. The “Get Fit For Summer” class schedule through May 31 includes:

·      V-Boot Camp: Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

·      Boot Camp: Tuesdays 7:00 a.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m.

·      Sunrise Yoga: Thursdays 6:30 – 7:30 a.m.

·      Sunset Yoga: Tuesdays 5:45 – 6:45 p.m.

·      Vinyasa: Fridays12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

·      Sunrise Yoga: Thursdays 6:30 – 7:30 a.m.

·      Zumba: Thursdays 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Currently under construction, VIDA Fitness is building its newest location at The Yards development project in the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood at 1212 4^th Street, SE. The $6.5 million, 30,000-square-foot fitness and lifestyle multiplex will anchor the Twelve12 mixed-use residential project developed by Forest City Washington, and like VIDA’s U Street flagship, the venture will include its affiliated concepts the Penthouse Pool & Lounge, Aura Spa and Bang Salon. The four-level VIDA Fitness at The Yards will deliver in phases with the grand opening of the Penthouse Pool Club slated for early July, Bang Salon opening its doors in mid-July, VIDA Fitness delivering in August and Aura Spa unveiling its fourth location in October 2014. This is VIDA’s sixth location, the fourth sites for both Bang Salon and Aura Spa and the second rooftop home for the Penthouse Pool & Lounge.
