New children’s book teaches acceptance, self-discovery and pride

Young readers learn to have self-worth despite what others may say or think with ‘Domino’s Nose Knows’

REGINA, Saskatchewan - April 10, 2014 - PRLog -- REGINA, Saskatchewan – In her new children’s book, “Domino’s Nose Knows” (published by AuthorHouse (http://www.authorhouse.com)), Judy Bird teaches an important lesson about looking beyond physical characteristics to discover and nurture natural abilities.

“Domino’s Nose Knows” centers around Domino, a bloodhound, his sister, Buttons and their litter mates. Domino is the runt of the litter, and isn’t chosen for adoption when the time comes. He gets teased about his big nose by the other animals, but eventually he learns that his big nose is a benefit when he helps find a lost child.

“The story is about a dog learning his natural talent, having pride in himself and accepting himself, but it is also relevant to people. People and dogs have been companions for thousands of years. Their talents and abilities are often overlooked as easily as our own, and that’s just another thing we have in common.”
