Tintri unveils broad expansion strategy in the Nordics with expanded channel plans

By: Tintri

April 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Mountain View, Calif. & London, UK. April 10th, 2014 - Tintri, Inc., the leading producer of storage for virtualisation and cloud environments, today announced its channel plans to significantly increase revenues in the Nordics in 2014. The company will aim to further strengthen its channel base and have 10 strong partners in the region by end of this year. Additionally, Tintri will be doubling the size of the local team and actively be doing channel recruitment to support this growth strategy.

In 2013, Tintri appointed Per Sølvager as regional sales manager for the Nordics and Benelux region. Having worked in several sales and management roles at companies like NetApp and Riverbed, Sølvager brings over two decades of experience in the IT industry, and has a proven track record in sales management and business development. Under his leadership, Tintri aims to create further momentum for Tintri customer relationships and growth in the Nordics.

“Organisations throughout Europe are realising that although the benefits of virtiualisation are clear, storage systems are fast becoming costly and complex to manage in the virtualised environment,” said Sølvager. “Tintri takes an exciting and very different approach to storage. It’s coming to the market with a purpose built VM-aware flash storage appliance, designed exclusively for virtualised workloads. The channel is clearly seeing these key customer benefits and understands the opportunities that Tintri is bringing to market. My aim is to end the year with a solid and successful partner base, and aggressively grow our revenues in Benelux and the Nordics.”

Doug Rich, EMEA VP, Tintri, said: “Tintri has grown significantly year-on-year and there is an increasing demand in EMEA for storage solutions that can truly support the virtualised environment. With Per leading our sales activities, and team and channel expansion strategy we are confident that we are in good shape to scale the business growth in EMEA. It will also be valuable in developing productive and meaningful relationships with key partners throughout the Nordics and Benelux.”
