Comedians Looking To Help HomelessVets With Benefit Comedy Show

WASHINGTON - April 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Metro Comedy Entertainment  is continuing its long tradition of giving back to the community by holding a very special night of comedy to benefit a very worthwhile and deserving organization, Operation Renewed Hope Foundation on Friday, June  27, 2014 at the Arena Stage State-of-the-Art Keeger Theater in Washington, DC.

The Comedy For A Cause event will bring together supporters and fans of comedy alike for a thrilling evening of comedy in our Nations Capital. The show will be hosted by DC comedy legend Sylvia Traymore Morrison who has worked with Jay Leno and was a regular openner for Pop and R&B legend Whitney Houston.

Guests attending this unforgettable evening will not only be treated to a great evening of comedy but they will also get to be apart of the special TV taping of the comedy show that will feature three of DC's brightest and funniest comedians.

Danny Rolando, The Latin Prince of Comedy first fell in love with stand-up comedy at the tender age of six after watching Peruvian comedian Tulio Loza. Danny has gone on to gain huge popularity in the Latin and Hispanic communities. Rolando has went on to follow in Loza's footsteps and has even recently been compared to George Lopez. Rolando's astute observations and hilarious stories have been keeping audiences entertained for years. He regularly performs to sold out audiences across the United States.

Tanzanian-born comedian Ed Blaze, delivers knee-smashing anecdotes about his life as an African immigrant living in the United States. His true and often embarrassing and uncomfortable experiences adjusting to American culture have entertained audiences for years. Blaze's recent accomplishments include opening for high profile comedians  Ralphie May, Jim Gaffigan and Gary Owens.

Comedian Vince Barnett,  a crowd favorite, exhibits a sardonic, quick witted improvisational style of comedy that continually draws sell out audiences to see his performances. It's no wonder why Barnett has worked with comedy legends Bill Cosby, Chris Rock and Kevin Hart. Kevin Hart is also credited with urging Barnett to begin his stand-up comedy career.

A portion of the proceeds raised from this "Comedy For A Cause" event  will directly benefit  (ORHF) a Veteran-led organization headquartered in Alexandria, VA whose sole mission is to provide quality housing and supportive services to Veterans experiencing homelessness.
