Follow on Google News | Silk Painting Workshop Combines Creativity And MeditationSchool Sisters of St. Francis welcome Alverno instructor for “Reflections With Silk” June 14
This event will be led by Alverno College instructor, artist, and art therapist Rosemary Pearson, MSAT, LPC-TL. Ms. Pearson’s primary goal for art making is discovery of self and an energy larger than one’s self, as well as the connection between the two. Ms. Pearson believes that art is the work of, and essential to, the development of the soul. Seasoned artists or others who simply want to experiment will find plenty to engage their creative spirit, and everyone ages 15 and up is welcome, regardless of art experience. Advance registration is required to ensure that enough materials are special-ordered. (Note: The scarf is a silk/wool fabric.) The fee of $35 covers instruction and all supplies. To register for “Reflections With Silk,” please contact Donna O’Loughlin, Coordinator of Collaboration and Service, at 414-385-5272 or email doloughlin@sssf.org. Ample free parking is available in the School Sisters’ private parking lot at 29th Street and Orchard Street (one block south of Greenfield Avenue). The School Sisters of St. Francis are an international community of Catholic sisters who unite with others to build a just and peaceful world. In the United States, our sisters minister in 16 states, addressing needs in education, holistic wellness and healing, and pastoral ministry, spiritual growth, social justice, and the arts.
