Widely used throughout the health, education, renewable energy and food outlet sectors, Aleutia’s PCs can be seen across the NHS, in food chains such as Pret a Manger and Yo Sushi and on solar farms.
Alpha Micro will be selling Aleutia’s two most popular models: the best-selling and most affordable T1 fanless Nettop PC, ideal for users with existing monitors; and the R50 fanless server, designed to provide the high performance that demanding applications require, but in a small, rugged form factor that makes installation flexible.
Aleutia’s T1 provides dual core desktop performance with the reliability of no moving parts and exceptionally low power consumption, lowering the total cost of ownership (TCO) through energy savings and reduced maintenance. Designed for challenging environmental conditions, the T1 is in operation today in over 50 countries, providing ICT access in remote and often hot and dusty locations.
Built for 24/7 operation, the T1 is widely used in hospitals, on factory floors, in restaurant kitchens, and even on pipelines - anywhere that requires reliability for mission-critical applications.
Energy efficient, the T1 uses just 10 watts of power - 90% less than traditional desktop computers - the same power consumption as a thin client, but with the flexibility of a stand alone PC. This incredibly low power consumption reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO) - both for on-grid users and off-grid installations where energy is supplied by solar panels and DC batteries.
Based on Intel’s NUC (10 x 10 cm) motherboard, the Aleutia R50 provides high-end performance with an Intel i3 Processor, HD 4400 Haswell Graphics and up to 16GB of high-speed RAM, in an incredibly small, fanless sealed chassis machined from a single block of aluminium.
Designed to work anywhere, the R50 can run at 100% load up to 50°C ambient and is sealed from dust ingress and salty air making it suitable for use in locations ranging from tanker engine rooms, sealed outdoor cabinets in the baking sun of Saudia Arabia, tunnels in Australia and classrooms in Africa.
Perfect for mission-critical applications where failure is not an option, the R50 is completely fanless and features a solid state drive. Despite its powerful performance, every component of the R50 has been selected for energy efficiency with low voltage laptop memory, specialised Intel processors, mSATA SSDs and an onboard DC power supply. Idle power consumption is just 7.0 watts AC (even less DC) and peak power consumption (with CPU and GPU at max) is 28 watts.
Commenting on Alpha Micro’s new role as Aleutia’s UK reseller Christos Papakyriacou, Managing Director, said “Although our main product portfolio focuses on embedded M2M components, Aleutia's range of fanless PCs will enable Alpha Micro to target opportunities in new markets in which we have traditionally not operated and we look forward to this challenge.”
