Carval Computing reports renewed focus on Education following strong growth in the sector

New product features for Education unveiled at the Academies Show Stand Number: 140 30 April, ExCeL, London

PRLog - Apr. 10, 2014 - Carval Computing, a specialist supplier of fully integrated Human Resources, Payroll and Time & Attendance (T&A) software, has today announced that it is to increase its focus on the Education Sector. The company’s flagship software suite HR Unity has been developed to enhance the functionality currently available in schools’ resource management systems. An interface for one of  the leading resource management solutions, CMIS from Advanced Learning is now available with  SIMS from Capita to follow shortly. This provides comprehensive HR software management features and enhances absence management without compromising the resource allocation features that schools and colleges rely on. The fully integrated solution also enables schools to produce school statistics reports such as the workforce census return to the Department for Education. Carval’s solution has been designed to meet the needs of primary/secondary schools as well as tertiary and higher education establishments.

John Ovington, Sales and Support Director at Carval Computing said; “As schools and colleges are taking control of their own budgets and so are less dependent on the Local Education Authorities, we have seen a significant upsurge in the demand for HR and payroll solutions from this sector. With our strong track record in the public sector, and ‘post’-based HR software the Carval solution is ideally suited to the education sector. A fact that is supported with our increasing number of recent signings that include Mossbourne Academy, Coleg Cambria, Leigh Academies and Harlow Education Consortium.”

Carval’s Uniwage payroll solution for education has been developed to deal with specific issues including term time working. The system handles teachers’ pay spines, all statutory deductions including both Local Government pension and Teachers pension scheme deductions, as well as special allowances.  The system generates monthly and annual pensions reports, and is fully compliant with RTI.

Uniwage can run as a standalone payroll solution or form part of a fully integrated HR, Payroll and Time & Attendance solution with other elements of HR Unity. Carval solutions are available as on premise, hosted or outsourced solutions.
