Kirk Wickersham and the FSBO System

In 1997, when Wickersham invented the For Sale by Owner System. This system lets anyone, regardless of their real estate know-how, sell their home without having to hire an agent. It lets any homeowner draw upon Wickersham’s extensive personal experience selling homes.

This homegrown system, created originally for the Anchorage market, is now a proven success across North America. Commitment to Education

The FSBO system was a highlight of the already impressive career of Kirk Wickersham, and marked him as an important person in the real estate industry. It would have been easy for him to sit back and enjoy his success, but instead he turned back towards his community of Anchorage.

In 2007, he was appointed by the Governor of Alaska to sit on the Board of Regents at the University of Alaska. As Vice Chair, he was able to give back to the school which gave so much to him, once again proving the good character of University of Alaska alumni.
