April 9, 2014 - PRLog -- London, UK – A revamped version of the Gaming Dream (250pp, $2.99; April 15th 2014) will be released later this month.  Written by a games industry veteran who has worked on many award winning titles over the past fifteen years, it uses Fraulo’s experiences to give a step by step guide of how a game is made. The previous edition was well received and was able to achieve an average review score of 4 out of 5 across retailer websites.

Fraulo said, “I wrote this book to tell people what working in the games industry is really like as opposed to how people think it is. It is not a tell-all book, but one meant to educate people thinking of joining the games industry”

About the book

Francesco Fraulo loves playing games and really wants to get a job making them. He gets his chance when a bit of luck helps him get employed at a large gaming company. Things do not go to plan however and he learns that the gaming industry isn't the land of honey he thought it would be and he begins to wonder if it was all worth it. Follow Frank as he experiences the launch of a new console and the creation of award winning games while trying to test his way up the game industry ladder.

Online Reviews for The Gaming Dream

“A great, true story about a love affair with gaming and becoming disillusioned with the hype surrounding the industry. Many great titles are mentioned and talked about, along with some dry nerd humor, making this an honest, enjoyable read. Gamers, for the win!” (Barnes and Noble)

“An interesting insight into the gaming industry. His personal experiences paint an intriguing yet bleak picture of the many things "wrong" with a multi-billion dollar industry - and some of the things that could be very right with it.” (amazon.com)

The book will be available on Amazon in both eBook and paperback formats. More details can be found at www.thegamingdream.co.uk
