Choosing a new mayor is an important decision and we hope these forums will help voters make the right choice.” For more information, visit PCL’s website at www.provcomlib.org. ### NOTES FOR EDITORS Providence Community Library (PCL), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, was established in July 2009 by a dedicated group of volunteers after the Providence Public Library determined that it lacked the resources to manage the neighborhood branches of Fox Point, Knight Memorial, Mount Pleasant, Olneyville, Rochambeau, Smith Hill, South Providence, Wanskuck and Washington Park. Supported by the City of Providence, PCL is the largest library system in the state of Rhode Island and, in effect, the city’s second largest free educational institution after the Providence Public School District.
