Follow on Google News | Alvaro M. Rocha is number 1 in the Portuguese Music ChartsQuickly rising up the international music charts, AMR makes it to number 1, in Portugal.
By: Alvaro M. Rocha Considered, by many, as a portuguese synth wizard and many times compared to the likes of Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis, Alvaro M. Rocha breaks ground by melting very serious Classical archetypes in a rather enjoyable - and not that formal - universally popular music package. Alvaro M. Rocha was born in 1975, in Ovar, Northern Portugal. At the early age of 4 Alvaro started his first walking steps into the music world at the Academy of Music, receiving education in so many disciplines and different levels as he was introduced to learn and play a variety of instruments. After 15 years of studies Alvaro M Rocha finished his formal training at the Academy. Soon he jumped into learning about analog and digital electronics and received complementary training in Audio Engineering in Paris and London. Although most of Alvaro Rocha’s work has so far been generally hidden from the general public but there’re a number of projects that were made public, such as Jean Michel Jarre's Beijing 1981 Opening Concert Remasters and the infamous The Beyond Piano Project. AMR nowadays (also) produces and writes for other artists.
