LAKE WORTH, Fla. - April 9, 2014 - PRLog -- The United States Polo Association Interscholastic/Intercollegiate (I/I) Program is excited to announce that the final rounds of the 2014 USPA National Intercollegiate Championship (NIC), held April 9 - 12, 2014, at the ERG Polo Complex in Brookshire, Texas, will be webcasted on the United States Polo Association website this week.

The six final matches (three each for the men’s and women’s) will be taped and then webcasted on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday evening at 5 p.m. EDT. These wonderfully produced and exciting webcasts were done for the 2013 men’s and women’s finals. This year, the NIC is expanding its coverage to include all six matches.

Women’s NIC Finals

The NIC has been a national U.S. Polo Association championship since 1922, with the addition of women’s teams in 1976. Last year, the Westmont College men’s team and the UVA women’s team were the tournament champions. The winner of the most National Titles in previous years has been the Yale men’s team (19 times) and Cornell women’s team (13 times).

The United States Polo Association, the governing body of the sport, organizes the USPA National Intercollegiate Championship, which is a centerpiece of the United States Intercollegiate/Interscholastic (I/I) polo program. The I/I polo program mission is to help expand the sport in the U.S. at the college and high school level.
