Alex, 42, is based at Scottish Building Society’s branch office in Galashiels with responsibility for the business of 11 agency offices across the South East of Scotland. The SBS agencies within his control are located in Dunbar, Duns, Eyemouth, Hawick , Jedburgh, Kelso, Lockerbie, North Berwick, Peebles and Selkirk.
Alex will lead the SBS brand within the region working closely with the local community to promote how SBS can help them. He will lead our mortgage proposition locally and be the main point of contact for customer and local mortgage intermediaries.

Moffat joined RBS straight from Earlston High School in Berwickshire and is a member of the Institute of Bankers in Scotland. He lives in Galashiels with his wife and three young children where he enjoys football and is an active member of the local bowling club. He is a trustee for The Lavender Touch, a local Cancer charity, with responsibility for finance and fundraising.
