Amy Billimoria reveals about her new vintage Summer Bridal Collection!

Meet Amy Billimoria, one of the best known fashion designers in Bollywood with an experience of over 15 years in personally styling famous bollywood beauties of today. In a recent interview with WomenPlanet, the designer described about her profession, the changing fashion and also gave a small insight on her new collection of Summer Bridal line.

The designer has a wonderful experience of working with some of the best tinsel town celebs. In one of her recent projects, she gave actress Mahie Gill a complete makeover for one of her upcoming films, ‘Gang of Ghosts’. According to Amy, the experience was absolutely memorable especially because Mahie is a very open individual and loves trying new looks. Amy designed a completely new look for the movie’s promotion and included various phases of yester year Indian styles.

With the summer weddings now about to begin, Amy also discussed a bit about her new Summer Bridal Collection. She said that her new collection has been designed specially keeping in mind the Srring Women of today. She has kept the color palette very soothing which includes colors such as Champagne, golds and also nude pink shades. She has also used hand embroidered embellishments and vintage gold lace motifs to add the magical look.

Talking about her designs, Amy says that all her designs are unique and designed based on the needs of her clients. She aims to provide better every time. Every creation for Amy is a challenge and she tries to outperform her own creations. As for the wedding trends this year, Amy says that vintage style dressing that are particularly inspired from the sixties will be in trend. The color palette will include more of fern greens, coral, peaches and surely gold. However, there will be a change in the drapes.

For Amy, clothes are all about feeling comfortable. She says there are always a few must have’s for a women’s closet. For instance, few denim pants, a simple white shirt, a golden blouse to team up with almost all your sarees and a small black dress are a must in one’s closet.
