R.E.P.A.Y Announces Its April 2014 Events

PRLog - Apr. 11, 2014 - FORT WORTH, Texas -- R.E.P.A.Y. (Restoring Ethical Pride Among Youths)—a local community nonprofit organization that offers fine arts lessons to youths 4–18 years old at no cost to the students—announces its upcoming April 2014 events.

On Saturday, April 12, 2014, the R.E.P.A.Y. Picnic will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Park, 2401 University Drive, Fort Worth, Texas. It is open to the public. "The picnic is not only a time for current R.E.P.A.Y. students and their parents to socialize, it will also be a time for the public to come and learn about our program," states R.E.P.A.Y. founder, Rev. Warren C. Patrick.

On Saturday, April 26, 2014, R.E.P.A.Y. will host a carwash fundraiser from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The carwash will take place at the R.E.P.A.Y. office on 2240 E. Loop 820, Fort Worth, Texas. "The money we raise from the carwash," explains Rev. Patrick, "will be used to help pay for the students' materials (e.g., sheet music), teacher salaries,  field trips, and other operation expenses such as rent and utilities."

In September 2007, R.E.P.A.Y. began offering classes in various fine art disciplines as a means to help youths develop character, moral integrity, and positive values, and thereby counteract the negative messages, peer pressures, and attitudes that often impact youths today. Through the fine arts, youths develop characteristics such as patience, persistence, time management, and setting and accomplishing goals. R.E.P.A.Y. students choose the class or classes of interest to them. The children are instructed by teachers who specialize in a fine art discipline. Each class session lasts one hour. During a semester, R.E.P.A.Y. students attend enrichment outings (such as musical concerts) that are related to their chosen fine arts discipline and that allows children to observe professionals performing various fine arts disciplines. R.E.P.A.Y. also provides field trips that have a focus on enjoyment as well as enrichment so that the children can experience a positive environment in which to interact with their peers and encourage each other.
